Happiness, Etc.

Ever since Friday at 4 PM, I'VE BEEN FREEEEEEE!!!! Four papers down and decent. ;)

In the meantime, I've slept (still not on a normal time schedule), read (finished Catching Fire in a matter of hours), job hunted (oh joy), and actually gone outside. To jog. What.

I don't know what it is about Sundays here, but I can't remember one that has truly terrible weather--that's apparently reserved for weekdays and Saturdays! Aka every other day, I suppose...
But really, today was just gorgeous. The weather was a little windy, but not blow-you-down windy like it's been before, the sun was shining, and it wasn't wretchedly cold, just chilly if you weren't constantly in some sort of motion. Maybe that is cold in retrospect...but no matter! For I was moving!

Most people who know me know I loathe running/jogging, but you know what? It's not so bad in lovely areas in small(ish) doses. I certainly don't think I'm anywhere close to ready to join the Mikko-Giles running club, but I had a wonderful time and actually went pretty far! Allow me to show you some photos from my route--you won't regret it!
Ohai! Iz in a field. :D
Oh yeah, this is where I go to school. ;)
I've also decorated a bit for Christmas (yay Christmas!)...but neglected to take pictures in daylight. They'll make it onto another post. However, I did take pictures of the graveyard where the old church used to sit (and where the holly trees are, incidentally!). It's a really interesting wee park and I daresay I rather like it. There's something really cool about the place.

And OH YEAH, did you hear where I went on Thanksgiving?

No?

PARLIAMENT, Y'ALL. I went to PARLIAMENT.
Oh look, it's me! IN PARLIAMENT.
Proving that you can get a job after graduating from The Programme, SIRS Consultancy presented their National Security Risks Handbook in a House of Commons meeting in PARLIAMENT (nevermind that they created their own jobs! That's pretty cool, you've got to admit. Also, PARLIAMENT deserves to be in caps and shall therefore henceforth be written in said fashion. PARLIAMENT: It's that awesome). The entirety of our tutorial group made it (somehow or other given every last one of us woke up late) and went out for noms afterward.

Naturally, I took pictures.
And here ends PARLIAMENT. These are just the areas where I was allowed/had time to snap photos!
We intended to attend another function with SIRS post-meeting, but we lost sight of them (*cough cough* Thanks, Mikko...) and instead opted for lunch in the Camden area (as we were well starving). I haven't felt so much like a kid since I was in Japan and Amy pulled me out of the way of cars (with regularity) and I'd reckon Ericka and Oly felt like annoyed parents more than once between Mikko sort of wandering and me snapping pictures every 50 feet or so. In fairness, Oly, you've really only yourself to blame for taking the scenic route bearing in mind I'd a camera with me. Mwahahahahahahaha!
Ohai, Westminster Abbey!
Chapel used by the House of Commons
OHOHOHOHOHO
Someone please explain this one to me.
Lookit me, I'm alsum. Big Ben AND a double decker bus in one random shot taken while walking.
Aaaaand a Mikko photobomb.
Architecture: it's rad.
War Dead Memorial.
Downing Street ftw! Thanks, Ericka. ;)
Ooh, ooh, we learned about this in class! I'll be damned if I can remember what they're called, though...physical show of force!
This is the, uh, Defence Ministry. *snort*
The eye!

There. Is. So. Much. Food. Here.
Part of the top floor of our Moroccan restaurant. It was an unbelievable deal!
Something interesting is sold here! Dunno what. But if it's got two cyberthings "guarding" it, it can't be that boring.
Goodbye for now, Stables! I WILL BE BACK FOR NOMS LATER.
Overall, it was a pretty awesome week. I am well pleased.

Cheers!
